Gil Felix é músico, intérprete e compositor. Iniciou sua carreira no Reggae Music na década de 90 em Salvador, Bahia, a partir da influência de clássicos do mundo reggae como Bob Marley, The Wailers, Alpha Blondy e Bunny Spear.

 

Em seu reggae, Gil usa a música como ferramenta de conscientização social e construção de identidade nas comunidades.

 

Outras influências que podem ser percebidas em sua música vêm da riquíssima cultura negra baiana, tradicional e atual, da qual ele coletou diversos elementos que deram à sua música um caráter único e característico.

 

Em 2008 lançou o álbum já clássico “Galan” com grande repercussão, em particular com uma versão da música “Ti, ti, ti, blah, blah”, de Jacob Miller. Realizou diversos shows em São Paulo e por todo o Brasil, e seu trabalho começou conhecido internacionalmente.

 

Depois de muitos anos trabalhando na Europa, desenvolvendo um repertório eclético de Samba Reggae, Afropop, Gil Felix agora retorna às raízes com a nova faixa ”Na Frente” do álbum ”Enfim”.

 

O público dá as boas-vindas de volta a Gil Félix - com a sua voz quente e forte e com canções originais do reggae que foi a música que lançou a sua carreira artística e com a qual mais se identificou.
